Vizio + Sketch Shapes = Fast Wireframing
Wireframes and prototypes are great- on the whiteboard. I’ve always wished there was a way to have the same immediate gratification as the whiteboard, but also be able to share and save my sketches. This is that way.
While making wireframes in Visio 2003 and came across The GUUUI Web Prototyping Tool which is just a bunch of shapes you can use for wireframing purposes.
You can make your own shapes and combo shapes and drag them to the shapes toolbar to save. The only complaint I have is that the default font is Comic Sans. Looking on dafont.com for replacement….
I added my own text areas such as bulleted list, heading photo combos, etc. My next step would be replacing the font- seriously. I’m font sensitive.
The look of a sketchy drawing adds to this tool because it drives home the point that this is a very early draft and can be thrown out and restarted at any time. It is easier for people to believe this when seeing unfinished lines then clean output.
